Flip Text

Flip Text  Flip text is an interactive learning tool that presents information in a fun, page-by-page or card-flipping format. It helps learners explore content step by step, making complex ideas easier to understand and remember. By combining short text, visuals, and activities, flip text encourages active participation, curiosity, and self-paced learning, making lessons more engaging and effective. As part of my B.Ed curriculum, I created a flip text (digital flipbook) based on the chapter “Mutual Funds” with the aim of presenting financial concepts in an engaging, student-friendly, and interactive manner. This flip text is designed not only to provide conceptual knowledge but also to make learning meaningful and interesting for learners. The flipbook begins with an interesting introductory story, which helps capture the attention of students and connects real-life situations with the concept of mutual fund investment.  The story-based introduction serves as an e...

Innovative Work

Innovative Work  Innovation in teaching is the backbone of effective learning in the B.Ed curriculum. As a student teacher, engaging learners through creative and hands-on activities is essential. With this objective, I designed an innovative teaching–learning model using thermocol to explain the concept of Merger in a simple, visual, and interactive manner. Concept of the Innovative Work The innovative work focuses on explaining how two companies merge by pooling their resources to overcome limitations, capture a larger market, and increase profitability. Abstract business concepts like merger often become difficult for learners suggested by using a physical model, the concept becomes clearer and more relatable. Description of the Model For this innovative work: A thermocol base was taken and divided into three parts The first section represents Company X The second section represents Company Y The third section at the back represents the Merger Each company is shown w...

Weekly Reflection - 8 Saying Goodbye to a Place Called Home The final week of my teaching practice marked the end of a journey that I will always hold close to my heart. This week consisted of two significant days—Monday and Tuesday, the 27th and 28th of January—and though short in duration, it was filled with emotions, learning, gratitude, and unforgettable memories. Both Monday and Tuesday were scheduled as Bussy days, and during this time, the practical laboratory examinations were conducted. The atmosphere in the school was serious yet purposeful, as students prepared to demonstrate their practical knowledge. An external evaluator from Poojapura School visited the institution to assess the lab exams. The presence of an external evaluator always adds a sense of formality and importance to the process, and it was a valuable experience for me to observe the examination procedures closely. The external evaluator, sir, was extremely cooperative and approachable. His calm demeanor and su...

Weekly Reflection - 7 From Challenges to Confidence: My Weekly Teaching Journey This week was a mix of challenges, learning experiences, and personal growth. Each day brought something different, helping me understand myself better as a teacher and strengthening my confidence in handling responsibilities. Monday was the most eventful day of the week. Seenath TR teacher assigned me to take care of both CA2 and CB2 classes as she was on leave. Managing two classes on the same day was not easy. It required constant attention, patience, and effective classroom control. Initially, I felt nervous and overwhelmed, but as the day progressed, I started enjoying the responsibility. Handling both classes made me feel more confident and independent as a teacher. However, the day was not without its difficulties. Due to some inconvenience during the class, an unexpected incident occurred where a student shouted at me. That moment completely caught me off guard. I was speechless ...

Weekly Reflection - 6 A Busy Week Filled with Learning and Realizations This week passed by like any other regular week, yet it carried its own weight of experiences, lessons, and emotions. It was one more week late, but certainly not insignificant. Returning from there was full of pain, not just physical tiredness but also emotional exhaustion. Still, the week moved forward with a tightly packed and busy schedule that kept me constantly engaged in academic responsibilities. A major part of the week was dedicated to practical examinations. There were lab exams for the Plus Two classes, and I had the opportunity to assist Priya teacher in the laboratory.  This experience was particularly enriching, as it allowed me to observe the precision, patience, and responsibility required during practical examinations. Managing students, ensuring proper conduct, checking records, and maintaining discipline in the lab made me realize how much preparation and alertness a teac...

Weekly Reflection - 5 Week of Lessons and Love The second part of the second phase of my teaching practice began on Tuesday, January 6, 2026, marking a fresh and hopeful start to the new year. Although this day was originally slated for my third-semester college examinations, the schedule was postponed to January 9 due to the UGC NET exams. This shift allowed me to return to the school environment with full focus. Stepping back into the hallways was a nostalgic experience, as the school is filled with memories of my own Higher Secondary education. The students were visibly excited to see me again, and their kind-hearted, lovely nature made my return feel like a true homecoming. The teachers were equally welcoming, treating me with the care they would show their own students while taking a keen interest in my college life and professional growth. Under the guidance of Priya Teacher, I was assigned the responsibility of teach ret of the tenth chapter of Business Studies, titled "Int...

Weekly Reflection -4 A Week of Gratitude and Goodbyes This week was truly special — calm, fulfilling, and filled with beautiful memories. It marked the last week of the first section of the second phase of my teaching practice, and as each day passed, I could feel how deeply I had grown attached to this journey. What began as a professional requirement slowly transformed into an emotional experience that I will always cherish. Throughout the week, everything felt easy-going and joyful. I became more friendly and comfortable with the teachers, who treated me not as a trainee, but with the warmth and care of family. Their kindness touched me deeply — they guided, supported, and encouraged me in every possible way. Being back in my own school and standing in front of my own teachers as a teacher myself was incredibly meaningful. It felt like life had come full circle. The staff was always there whenever I needed advice or reassurance, and their constant support boosted my conf...
