Innovative Work

Innovative Work

Innovation in teaching is the backbone of effective learning in the B.Ed curriculum. As a student teacher, engaging learners through creative and hands-on activities is essential. With this objective, I designed an innovative teaching–learning model using thermocol to explain the concept of Merger in a simple, visual, and interactive manner.

Concept of the Innovative Work
The innovative work focuses on explaining how two companies merge by pooling their resources to overcome limitations, capture a larger market, and increase profitability. Abstract business concepts like merger often become difficult for learners suggested by using a physical model, the concept becomes clearer and more relatable.
Description of the Model
For this innovative work:
A thermocol base was taken and divided into three parts
The first section represents Company X
The second section represents Company Y
The third section at the back represents the Merger

Each company is shown with its strengths and weaknesses:
Company X
Company X is depicted as having:
Strong financial resources, Global reach, Good distribution network.
However, it lacks:
Efficient operations, Strong brand identity, Innovative ideas
Company Y
Company Y is shown with:
Skilled employees, Innovative ideas, Efficient operational methods, Strong brand value
But it lacks:
Financial strength, Wide distribution network, Global market reach
The Merger Section
The third section behind the two companies represents the merger. This part symbolically shows how:
Company X and Company Y decide to pool their resources.
