Phase 2 - Week 5
Weekly Reflection - 5
Week of Lessons and Love
Under the guidance of Priya Teacher, I was assigned the responsibility of teach ret of the tenth chapter of Business Studies, titled "Internal Trade," to the Plus One students. Having a dedicated class every day has allowed me to develop a consistent teaching rhythm and a deeper bond with the learners. Beyond regular classroom instruction. Since the Plus Two students were undergoing their model lab examinations for Computerized Accounting this week, I was given the opportunity to serve as an invigilator. This experience provided me with valuable insight into the logistics of conducting practical exams and managing a technical classroom setting.
The week was further highlighted by a significant cultural and political event on Wednesday. The school hosted Smt. Veena George, the Minister for Health and Woman and Child Development of Kerala, as a chief guest. Her background as a trailblazing journalist and the first female executive editor of a regional Malayalam news channel made her presence particularly inspiring for both the staff and the students. It was a privilege to witness such a distinguished leader engage with the school community, adding a layer of social and civic awareness to my teaching practice.
By Friday, the focus shifted toward balancing my dual roles as a student and a teacher. In the morning, I went to college to sit for my postponed semester examination. Following the instructions of my college principal, I returned to the school immediately after the exam to resume my duties. I spent the remainder of the day assisting with the invigilation of the Computerized Accounting lab exams.
To end the week on a joyful note, the teachers organized a small New Year celebration. We cut a cake and distributed it among the students, fostering a sense of community and shared happiness. This week was a perfect blend of academic responsibility, professional learning, and heartfelt celebrations, leaving me thoroughly satisfied and eager for the weeks to come.
