Teaching practice - Week 10
Weekly Reflection - 9
Final Weeks and Key Events
My academic responsibilities remained focused, with one dedicated teaching class each day on the operational days of the week. This consistency allowed for meaningful curriculum delivery. Most encouragingly, the classroom environment has become increasingly supportive; the students became more friendly and comfortable, leading to improved participation and more lively, collaborative discussions. This growing rapport is a rewarding milestone as the final weeks approach.
Despite a major disruption when Friday was declared a holiday due to heavy rain, the middle of the week provided two memorable events. On Wednesday, a fun social activity brought the community together for a "Biriyani Challenge." Everyone chipped in to contribute money for buying biriyani, transforming a regular day into a shared, relaxed communal meal that strengthened bonds across the school.
However, the most impactful event was the special program held on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, for the Higher Secondary students. Hosted at the School Auditorium, the session featured Mr. Prasanth Balakrishnan Nair, a distinguished Astronaut and Test Pilot selected for India's Gaganyaan Mission.
Titled 'Inspiring the Next Generation of Space Explorers,' the interactive session was profoundly motivating. Mr. Nair’s passionate sharing of his journey and insights into India’s space future left a significant, aspirational mark on our senior students.
In sum, this week successfully balanced focused teaching with enriching communal and inspirational events. With only two weeks remaining in this phase of my training, the goal now is to ensure a cohesive and impactful conclusion to the teaching practice.
